- Migraine headache is a common disorder, which is associated with numerous psychiatric conditions, especially mood and anxiety disorders. Behavioral therapy including biofeedback has been proved to be effective in the treatment of migraine. The efficacy of behavioral therapy may be comparable to that of conventional prophylactic pharmacotherapy and is maintained for a long-time time. In chronic and refrac- tory migraine patients, multidisciplinary approaches including pharmacotherapy, behavioral intervention including biofeedback, and cognitive-behavioral therapy are more effective than any single therapeutic approach.
