This may be categorized as ① migrainous infarction as defined in the IHS classification, ② migraine as a risk factor for cerebral infarction, ③ cerebral infarction associated with comorbid conditions of migraine, ④ cerebral infarction of other cause presenting with symptoms resembling migraine with aura, ⑤ drug-induced migraine-related stroke, and ⑥ hereditary conditions that cause migraine and stroke.
