Abstract PDF: Spontaneous intracranial hypotension rarely occurs at upper cervical level. A 55-year-old man was admitted to hospital for orthostatic headache, neck pain, nausea and vomiting for 2 weeks. Brain MRI showed a subdural hematoma in the bilateral fronto-temporo-parietal region and diffuse dural enhancement. Radioisotope cisternography revealed CSF leakage at upper cervical and thoracic vertebral level. The patient was successfully treated with C-arm-guided epidural blood patch at the C3-4 level after the patient had failed first epidural blood patch at thoracic level.

Abstract PDF: Acute hepatitis A is a self-limited disease that does not cause a chronic hepatitis. Hepatitis A may develop an atypical courses or complications. The neurological complications including Guillain-Barre syndrome, acute transverse myelitis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, meningoencephalitis and aseptic meningitis are rarely accompanied. We report a 42-year-old man with aseptic meningitis associated with acute hepatitis A infection. Screening for hepatitis A infec- tion may be considered in the work-up of aseptic meningitis.

Abstract PDF: Behçet's disease, mainly characterized by relapsing oral and genital ulceration and uveitis, also involves other tissues. In previous reports, the neuro-ophthalmologic manifestations of Behçet's disease are internuclear ophthalmoplegia, abducens nerve palsy, homonymous hemianopia and papillitis. Painful unilateral ophthalmoplegia is most often traceable to an aneurysm, a tumor, or an inflammatory or granulomatous process in the anterior portion of the cavernous sinus or at the superior orbital fissure. Behçet's disease presenting with painful unilateral ophthalmoplegia and optic neuropathy has not been previously reported. We report a case of painful unilateral ophthalmoplegia and optic neuropathy associated with Behçet's disease.

Abstract PDF: Cluster-like headache has been described as a secondary to several intracranial pathology. More than half of patients with lateral medullary infarction develop headache, but headache associated with autonomic symptom is very rare. We report the case of a 61-year-old man with chronic cluster-like headache associated with acute lateral medullary infarction. Damage of lateral medulla leads to imbalance of the autonomic system. Activated trigemino-autonomic system might be contributing factors of this headache.

Abstract PDF: Acyclovir is an effective agent for the treatment of herpes simplex and herpes zoster infections. Encephalopathy induced by acyclovir is an infrequent but well recognized adverse effect of acyclovir. But reversible posterior leukoen- cephalopathy(RPLE) induced by acyclovir is much less frequent, and there has been no report in Korea. We report a patient who developed RPLE after parenteral acyclovir administration.

Abstract PDF: Retinal migraine is a rare and poorly understood migraine variant. Vasospasm of the retinal or ophthalmic artery is thought to be the cause of the amaurosis of ocular migraine. Transient visual disturbance and headache fulfilling the criteria for migraine are essential for diagnosis. However, some cases were reported without classical headache attack. We report a case of recurrent transient monocular blindness without accompanying headache improved by beta-blocker.
